A few days ago i want to write again on another blog but i lost the password then i can't get new password via lost password menu. Because my wordpress installed on server that sent mail through SMPT. I need configure SMTP Mail on wordpress before the mail function work. But i can't do it without login to admin dashboard. So, i decide to change the password through phpMyAdmin

You only can change wordpress password via phpMyAdmin if your are using selfhosting wordpress site. Let start this simpla tutorial. Please following this step by step insruction.

Open phpMyAdmin

After login into your cpanel dashboard, you just need looking for phpMyAdmin menu. Select the menu then you will be redirected into phpMyAdmin dashboard. After open phpMyAdmin dashboard, open your database then open wp_user table. After that, edit user that you want to change the password. See the picture below.

Change The Password of User

Then change user_pass with your new password. And dont forget to set the function to MD5 then press Go. If you forget to choose MD5 password, your password can't be used to login into user dashboard.

After do that, you can use new password to login into your user wordpress dashboard.
